
Janice G. Jacques
Biography
Prior to joining Doyen Sebesta & Poelma, LLLP, Ms. Jacques practiced insurance defense at Walters Balido and Crain. She also received 40 hours of mediator training from the South Texas College of Law and worked with the Harris County Dispute Resolution Center in facilitating mediations for the Harris County Justice Courts.
Ms. Jacques earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Southern University at New Orleans; a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from California State University at Dominguez Hills; and a Ph.D. in Educational Policy Studies from Georgia State University. Ms. Jacques spent several years of her career in education as a teacher and in various leadership positions at the secondary and postsecondary education levels. She then attended South Texas College of Law Houston and earned her Juris Doctorate in 2021.
